The Mind is more than just a game. It’s an experience, a journey, a team experience where information cannot be exchanged, but everyone becomes one to overcome all levels.<\/p>\n
In detail, the deck contains cards numbered from 1 to 100, and during the game, the objective is to complete 12, 10, or 8 levels with 2, 3, or 4 players. In each level, each player receives a hand of cards equal to the level number: one card in level 1, two cards in level 2, and so on. Collectively, they must play these cards in the center of the table, in a single discard pile, in ascending order, but they cannot communicate in any way to reveal which cards they have. They simply look into each other’s eyes and, when they feel the moment is right, play the card with the lowest value. If no one has a card of lower value than the one you played, great, the game continues! If anyone has it, all players discard, face up, all cards of lower value than you played, and you lose a life.<\/p>\n
Start the game with a number of lives equal to the number of players. If you lose all your lives, you lose the game. You also start with a shuriken, and if everyone wants to use a shuriken, each player discards their lowest value card face up, giving information to everyone and bringing you closer to completing the level. Upon completing levels, you may receive a shuriken or an extra life as a reward. Complete all levels and you win!<\/p>\n
For an extra challenge, play The Mind in extreme mode, with all played cards face down in the pile. You don’t look at played cards until the end of a level, losing lives at that point for cards played out of order.<\/p>\n
