Exploding Kittens – A card game for people who are into kittens and explosions
\nCreated by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel), Exploding Kittens made history when it became the most-backed game in Kickstarter history and the campaign with the most number of backers, ever.
\nIt is a highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette.<\/p>\n
Players draw cards until someone draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode, they are dead, and they are out of the game \u2014 unless that player has a Defuse card, which can defuse the kitten using things like laser pointers, belly rubs, and catnip sandwiches.
\nAll of the other cards in the deck are used to move, mitigate, or avoid the Exploding Kittens.<\/p>\n
You can play cat cards, which are different from exploding kittens. Cat cards activate special powers when played as multiples.
\nThe gameplay is unique because the longer you play, the greater your odds of exploding and the more intense the game gets.
\nThe game mechanics were designed by two seasoned game designers: Elan Lee & Shane Small. The cards were written and illustrated by The Oatmeal<\/p>\n
